The EuroTrans project proposes a coherent concept in order to fulfil the objectives it has
set out for itself.
To achieve this, three types of actions will be put into place :
The development of a tool able to map excellence and research needs across Europe
with particular emphasis placed on the quality and usability of the information provided.
a database of SMEs with their needs and competence;
a database of technology providers looking for SME partners to launch co-operative type projects;
a database of projects in gestation and with provision for including SMEs.
The databases will be accessible from a centralised partner search tool available on the
project website. Issues concerning the sensitivity of information asked of the SMEs and
regarding the different data protection laws across Europe will also be taken into
consideration.
The organisation of national workshops, to further enhance the profiling of SMEs,
offer a coaching and support service, and provide them the possibility of meeting
potential future partners from the European surface transport industrial and scientific
R&D community.
